Get Right With God – Chess

Well friends, as sure as the day turns to night the last couple of sundays here at the ol’ record club come together to point us firmly in one direction this week. Chess records. Like Motown and Stax, not known for gospel music in particular but they had probably the widest range of styles on they records. Now, with sister Aretha Franklin, The Soul Stirrers, The Five Blind Boys and The Violinaires all putting out records on Chess they weren’t no slouch neither. So to bless y’all today here’s a couple less well known acts. Some mighty righteous hand clapping prevails through both tunes,  The Rev. is pretty rough an ready there, just a  marchin’ on to glory, but the singers, oh brother that’s some sweet singin an a prayin right there.
