Happy Birthday Hank!

Yes friends, the most legendary country singer of them all would be celebrating his birthday today, if he hadn’t gone an’ invented the whole rock ‘n’ roll myth by dying in the back seat of his cadillac. Done down by a mix of booze and pills and possibly the freezing cold but all y’all know abouts that stuff. The Old Record Club will be puttin’ on our party hats and drinkin a few in his honour, what with it bein’ Earl’s birthday too. Thank you friends, thank you. Now, here’s a few numbers about the man and his music to help y’all celebrate the day. First up we got Johnny Cash on a life changing visit to town by the great man, I should warn you ahead of time, ‘specially those of a nervous disposition, that this tune contains some sound effects. We also got the obvious choice in Waylon’s anthem and Jimmy Logsden givin’ us a brief life story and tryna make out like angels carried ol’ Hank on up to his reward just so he could sing for the good lord hisself. It just may be, it just may be.
