Country Disappeared

Sweethearts 9

Well, friends, Sweethearts Of The Radio#9 sure went off in some strange directions – the krautrock country of Woods, the dark banjo folk of Coma Wall, the brooding Marissa Nadler. But there was plenty of old school jukebox classicism going on too, with  people like Bobby Bare, Bob Wills and Jim Croce. There was even a new Drive By Truckers track kicking things off, and it’s not often you get to to say that. (there was some new Lydia Loveless too, the potty mouthed pocket rocket herself).

Download Sweethearts #9 here, or stream it here.
