Randy & Earl At Endorse It! In Dorset 2010

Brothers and sisters!!

Randy & Earl’s Old Record Club is back at Endorse It! In Dorset! Festival for a fifth glorious year, and this year we’re really going for it. As ever, we’re hosting the Wig-On Casino all night every night, but 2010 sees some added slots, a longer running time and a whole load of new decor.

Endorse It! In Dorset! 2010 website

As well as Randy and Earl themselves dropping the best soul, rockabilly, ska, jazz, country, garage and gospel, we’re super excited to welcome back DJ Scratchy (Clash tour DJ and all-round musical behemoth), the wonderful Miss Feelgood , Brixton’s finest, The Editor & Nipsla (Offline), DJ Jump Up (People’s Republic Of Disco) and Miss Marmosette (The Actionettes, People’s Republic Of Disco). We’re also joined by Endorse It! regular The Macassa Man.

AND every night before Randy & Earl kick off, they’ll be passing the decks over to some different musical flavours: the fabulous Twisted Kitten girls dropping all the best pop and hip-hop on Ladies Day, DJ Badly and DJ Dubversion spinning dub and roots as Randy & Earl’s Old Record Dub and Bimble (Free Radical Sounds / The Sporadics) playing a special 1977-style punky reggae party set.
For a full timetable see below

All this AND a Sunday lunchtime gospel slot from Brother Randy and Brother Earl to lead you all to the path of righteousness.

Endorse It! really is our favourite small festival (it might even be our favourite festival, period). Always a lovely atmosphere, with a satisfying quiffs vs dreadlocks ratio and, mercifully, very little hippy bollocks. There’s some great bands this year (The Damned, The Subhumans, Tragic Roundabout, Eat Static, Symarip, Macka B and dozens more). It’s on a lovely site just inside the border of that most glorious of counties (half of Randy And Earl call Dorset home, the other half is jealous) and it’s just ace, really.

That (90% confirmed) line-up in full.

Friday August 6th.
9pm-11pm Randy & Earl’s Old Record Dub
DJ Badly and Dubversion play some roots rock reggae niceness.
11pm-6am Randy & Earl’s Old Record Club

Sunday August 8th

11am-1pm Brother Randy And Brother Earl Hickey Gospel Selection

11pm-3am Brandy & Pearl’s Old Record Club
Hitherto unseen in public, the females of the Hickey family step up to the decks for ladies day to crew wrap up the weekend with a final night of sounds GUARANTEED to keep you dancing till you face the long trudge back to your tent for the final time…
